Reishi™ Fine Mycelium by MycoWorks

Introducing the world’s first full look entirely created from Reishi™, a revolutionary biomaterial grown from Fine Mycelium™. The three piece edit includes the Grown by Nature Trench featuring intricate ruched and pleated details, the signature Fisherman Boots and the supersize Mushroom Hat – celebrating the creative and unexpected properties of the mycelium organism and embracing the endless possibilities and countless forms that mycelium can take on. The rough leather patterns take us back to the origin of how mycelium grows: natural movements in a dark environment.

YUME YUME commits to creating a healthier environment through lower-impact products with an ongoing journey of continuously looking for alternative materials. This project demonstrates an important shift in the design making process and how we collectively could learn from the natural world that responds to the needs and uses of our time – showing a future of fashion where garments are not produced but grown by nature.

Dit is de eerste complete look ter wereld die volledig gemaakt is van Reishi™, een revolutionair biomateriaal gemaakt van Fine Mycelium™. De driedelige look bestaat uit de Grown by Nature Trench met complexe ruches en geplooide details, de kenmerkende Fisherman Boots en de supersize Mushroom Hat – een eerbetoon aan de creatieve en onverwachte eigenschappen van het schimmelorganisme, een omarming van de eindeloze mogelijkheden en ontelbare vormen die mycelium kan aannemen. De ruwe leerpatronen brengen ons terug naar de oorsprong van hoe mycelium groeit: natuurlijke bewegingen in een donkere omgeving.

YUME YUME zet zich in voor het creëren van een gezonder milieu door middel van producten met een lagere impact, en is voortdurend op zoek naar alternatieve materialen. Dit project laat een belangrijke verschuiving zien in het ontwerpproces en hoe we collectief kunnen leren van de natuur die inspeelt op de behoeften en het gebruik van onze tijd – het laat een toekomst van mode zien waarin kleding niet wordt geproduceerd maar door de natuur wordt gegroeid.
