Valerie Oluwatoyin Abeji

Valerie Oluwatoyin Abeji (1999), is a visual artist who specializes in photography and film. She uses it as a medium to translate her emotions and the ones of the people she meets.

Valerie experimented between different creative studies but eventually decided to walk her own path and learn along the way.

As a visual artist she likes to capture moments as they are. Raw and unfiltered. The way she sees them.

“There is beauty in everything around us, and I want to capture all of it.”

Nature, people and honest emotion inspire her the most and she uses her camera as an excuse to get close.

For Valerie its not about creating a perfect image but about conveying a certain feeling. To start a dialogue and hopefully trigger something. She likes to let go of the rules and do what feels natural.
