Donghwan Kam is an artist, cook, and publisher who is based in Amsterdam and Seoul. He found the publishing house TENANT BOOKS and Derek Hartfield. He was in the residency program at Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam (2019-2021).
His recent work has focused on fermentation and farming involving microorganisms and bacteria.
His work has been shown at Singapore Biennale, MMCA Korea, Asian Culture Center, Van Abbe Museum, Het Nieuwe Instituut, and Framer Framed.
