#6 Live performance: Visitation, with NO Stars (2030)

In Visitation, with NO Stars an anxiety-riddled investigative municipal agent peels back layers of the present and the past, speaking from a time that is beyond measure, from the Bottom of the Water, which is always and inevitably in the air. Locating himself in a roaming constellation of dusty ephemera, Muck Studies Dept. details a moment of discovery from a vibrating memory container at the site of the Big Bang, proposing a re-imagining of value, one that he has known all along but not felt until now. A first-person narrative by an unreliable source.

Geo Wyex performt op 6 juli twee keer ‘Visitation, with NO Stars’ in Buro Stedelijk’s Central Space. Een live performance als onderdeel van zijn lopende werk ‘Muck Studies Department Presents: Transmission from No Point of Return Bleep Blop Bloop’ (2021).

In “Visitation, with NO Stars” ontleedt een door angst geplaagde, onderzoekende gemeenteagent lagen van het heden en het verleden. Hij spreekt vanuit een onmetelijke tijd, vanuit de “Bottom of the Water”, die altijd en onvermijdelijk in de lucht hangt. Muck Studies Dept. lokaliseert zichzelf in een dolenden constellatie van stoffige efemera en beschrijft een moment van ontdekking vanuit een vibrerende geheugencontainer op de plek van de Big Bang, waarbij hij een herwaardering van waarde voorstelt, een waarde die hij altijd al heeft geweten maar tot nu toe niet heeft gevoeld. Een verhaal uit de eerste persoon door een onbetrouwbare bron.
