Studio Space

The Studio Space was initially designated as Buro Stedelijk’s office space, but we decided to use this space not solely as office space. From the beginning, we have used the Studio Space as a space for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The reading groups and workshops are held here. The windows of the Studio Space facing the Pauluspotterstraat are like a stage to the street below. At moments, the windows are a canvas for displaying artworks. Several artists have made works especially for these windows. At other moments, you can see people working there, having a coffee, or one of the more intimate manifestations might be unfolding. As such, the windows are an important part of Buro Stedelijk’s outreach and way of communicating with the city.
