Thato Toeba

Thato Toeba (b 1990, Maseru, Lesotho) works in Amsterdam, Maseru and Cape-Town. They have a LLM from Humboldt University and LLB from the National University of Lesotho.

Toeba’s practice uses collage, sound, video and installation to analyse Power and the political economy of self and world making. They are interested in instruments of authority which sustain political power (law, archives, religion) and modes and methods of negotiating jurisdictions of Power.
