
Sichuan Territory
Sichuan Territory opened in July 2024 in collaboration with Garage Noord, one of Amsterdam’s most vibrant underground clubs. Set in a purpose-built glasshouse directly connected to the venue, the restaurant brings the bold flavors of Sichuan cuisine into a space where food, art, and music meet.
Founded by Etienne Memon (Order Territory) and Jennifer Tenjing (Sichuan Amsterdam), the concept was inspired by their journey to Chengdu, the heart of Sichuan. The menu combines authentic recipes with fresh ideas — from Sichuan BBQ skewers and grilled eggplant to classics like Mongolian beef, palace fish, and popcorn chicken — paired with natural wines and inventive cocktails.
The interior, designed by Memon, blends colorful diner-style furniture with Chinese details, hand-painted walls, and collaged tables. Three large Ghanaian film posters of kung fu movies anchor the cinematic atmosphere.
At Sichuan Territory, collaboration is central — between cultures, friends, and art forms. It is a place where locals and internationals come together not only to eat, but to connect and share in a lively, creative spirit.
