NØËL
NØËL (he/him/THAT B*TCH) is a multidisciplinary performer, writer, spoken word artist, singer, actor, photographer, and director whose practice moves between theatre, music, literature, and performance art. His work engages with themes of queerness, Blackness, nudity, sexuality, pain, empowerment, death, love, and political and social awareness. Blending emotional honesty with physical intensity, NØËL uses the body and the written word as vessels to explore vulnerability, intimacy, and the multiplicity of identity.
Born on the island of Curaçao on December 25, 1998, NØËL realized from a very young age that art was all he wanted to do. In even the most ordinary moments, he found traces of creativity and meaning, a connection that would shape his lifelong devotion to artistic expression.
In his performances, NØËL navigates the delicate balance between exposure and control. Questioning societal expectations around race, sexuality, and cultural difference while opening space for empathy and transformation. His theatrical, musical, and literary works often blur the lines between performance and lived experience, merging personal narratives with collective struggles.
Alongside his independent projects, NØËL collaborates with visual artists and directors in installation-based performances, contributing to interdisciplinary works that challenge audiences to witness and feel beyond the surface. His practice is driven by a belief in art’s power to reveal, disrupt, and heal.
NØËL has performed and collaborated in projects including Tracing the Body Chapter 2 – From Liquid into Solid by Jeltje Schuurmans (2022), #51 CHORUS IN FLIGHT by Julianknxx (2024), #54 SHIFTING / SPIRIT / TIME by Julianknxx (2025), and Issue 5: nulgraad by Charl Landvreugd – Presentation 03 – Kevin Osepa (2025).
