Gwen Parry
Gwen Parry’s work in research, publishing, and language is marked by a fondness for the convergence of artistic and activist practices. She currently works as Research Manager of the Fashion Research and Technology research group at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), invested in the technologies and speculative, artistic methodologies needed to work towards more sustainable fashion futures. She also manages the EU-funded Expanded Publishing project on behalf of the Institute of Network Cultures. Before joining AUAS, she developed several research and publication projects at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2018-2023), Rijksmuseum (2014-2017), and BAK, basis voor actuele kunst (2014-2011). Her own writing and research sway towards an emphasis on class and queer culture and their impact on creative expression in both art and fashion.
She joined the Buro to develop its publishing program, which will lead to Manifestation #48, a publication focusing on critical archiving, institutional space, and collaborative reflection.
