Fonds 21 – Henk Christophersen

Henk Christophersen is managing director of Fonds 21. Fonds 21 is proud to be a founding partner of Buro Stedelijk. Our aim is to make a positive impact on today’s society through our grants. Our fund places great emphasis on promoting (artistic) quality, addressing current issues and engaging with young and/or new audiences. We embrace and encourage experimentation. Fonds 21 supports (educational) projects by cultural institutions and initiatives that aim to enhance opportunities for young people (aged 12-30 years) in today’s society.

In addition to funding projects, Fonds 21 also serves as a collaborative partner, actively recognizing and addressing the challenges of our times. We facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences and stimulates through special programs. Buro Stedelijk received funding through Fonds 21 EXTRA, a special program initiated in 2021 to provide additional financial aid during the coronavirus pandemic. Through Fonds 21 EXTRA our organization was able to contribute to future-proofing the cultural sector in the Netherlands.
