Andrea Voets

Andrea Voets is the artistic director of Resonate Productions. She creates musical journalism by combining in-depth journalism with lots of original music, into performances, podcasts, films and articles. The goal is to bring to light emotional blind spots in society and provide ways out of the problems they bring about. Examples are Millennial History (best of human interest radio ’22, Association for International Broadcasters), While We Live (best of classical music 2020, NRC) and Wings & Roots. At this moment, Andrea is undertaking a worldwide search into the question how to feel safe, with support of the prestigious FastForward-grant. Since 2018, De Balie is the home-base of musical journalism. Andrea studied harp and philosophy in Amsterdam and Berlin.
