Frank L. Creton (born 20 December 1941) is an artist. He grew up in the Coronie district, a rural area with distinctive tall coconut palms. His painted memories of the area from his childhood seem timeless. All kinds of images remained on his retina when he had crossed the ocean to the Netherlands after his years in Paramaribo. He settled permanently in Amsterdam.His abiding love became working in oils – an overwhelming experience.

Frank L. Creton (geboren op 20 december 1941) is een kunstenaar. Hij groeide op in het Coronie district, een landelijk gebied met kenmerkende hoge kokospalmen. Zijn geschilderde herinneringen aan het gebied uit zijn kindertijd lijken tijdloos. Er bleven hem allerlei beelden op het netvlies staan toen hij na zijn jaren in Paramaribo de oceaan overstak naar Nederland. Zijn grote liefde werd het werken met olieverf – een overweldigende ervaring.
