#75 Parallel Realities
Dion Rosina and Phantom Wizard present 'Parallel Realities' on October 23 at Buro Stedelijk's Central Space. A curated programme as part of his ongoing process during 'Manifestation #52: To Be Determined'.
In Parallel Realities, they together converge their practices of remixing, sampling, and recombination to create new pathways between existing worlds. Both artists work with material that carries previous lives. Images, sounds, and forms that have circulated through other contexts are given renewed significance through intervention and juxtaposition.
At Buro Stedelijk during Manifestation #52: To Be Determined, Rosina’s practice unfolds experimentally: drawing extends across walls, occupying and reshaping the architecture itself. His method of layering references and visual material echoes practices of tracing how images accumulate meaning as they move through time and space. For this manifestation, he joins forces with Phantom Wizard, whose own work thrives on the generative potential of the remix, treating cultural material as living, changeable substance.
Together, they transform the Central Space into an intimate environment where parallel realities intersect. Through their collaboration, the evening becomes a site of convergence: a space where distinct creative methodologies meet, shuffle, and generate new connections. The work invites visitors to experience how artistic practice can function as a form of re-contextualization. Not unlike curatorial or ethnographic gestures that reveal hidden relationships between seemingly disparate elements.
