A book launch of 'Repainting Subway Art' by Tripl a.k.a. Furious, with a talk by Martha Cooper, Terror161 a.k.a. Json, moderated by Dr. Edward Birzin
The talented Dutch graffiti artist Tripl has interpreted and recreated Subway Art by Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant, in his own unique way. Hereby offering a huge shout-out and homage to the original graffiti writers, photographers, and the global graffiti movement.
The publication Repainting Subway Art (Ruyzdael Publishing, Amsterdam 2024) is the culmination of a tribute to the inventiveness and creativity that have inspired over 40 years of graffiti and the continuation of a dialogue with the makers of the original book and graffiti as a whole.
The book will be presented with Martha Cooper, Terror161 a.k.a. Json, and moderated by Dr. Edward Birzin.
