#49 SISTAAZ OF THE CASTLE

For over a decade, the Cape-Town based collective SistaazHood have been collaborating with designer Duran Lantink and artist Jan Hoek. The collaboration weaves a tribute to the Sistaaz’ remarkable sense of style, seeking to unbind the stigmatised chains of labels—trans, sex worker, homeless—and let their true essence shine free. The documentary Sistaaz of the Castle zooms in on life on the edge of the Castle of Good Hope, a symbolic location as most of the Sistaaz live in the streets around it.

Join us on December 5, to watch the documentary about their in-house, self-organised, self-designed fashion spectacle. This evening will be hosted by Duran Lantink and Jan Hoek, with a performance by Kaiden Ford, an introduction by Chandler Smith (HXSSY) and a closing conversation between Jan, Duran and Nina666.
