#2 Opening – Decay: An Ode to the Impermanent

We are excited to announce the opening of Buro Stedelijk’s Central Space. On May 25 we will open our doors for Manifestation #2: Decay: An Ode to the Impermanent. This manifestation will be in the form of an exhibition featuring works of Geo Wyex, Joël Andrianomearisoa and Narges Mohammadi, whose work touches upon diverse notions of decay.

The opening will take place on May 25 at 18:30, in our Central Space. We have our own entrance, located at Paulus Potterstraat 13, Amsterdam. The evening kicks off with an inaugural performance by Sedrig Verwoert, Alanna Archibald, Isha Forster aka Phantom Wizard and Ranie Ribeiro, who will perform an adapted version of their: The Ritual.

How do you find space in yourself to change? And where do you find connection with the space around you and with each other? In The Ritual, Sedrig Verwoert examines identity as something cultural, physical, and sexual. Let yourself be carried away in this exciting duet with Alanna Archibald together with Phantom Wizard and Ranie Riberio.

During the opening and the afterparty at kanaal40, 1.06 Music Library will play tunes on vinyl.

We kondigen met trots de opening van de Centrale Space van Buro Stedelijk aan. Op 25 mei openen we onze deuren voor Manifestatie #2: Decay: An Ode to the Impermanent. Deze manifestatie heeft de vorm van een tentoonstelling met werk van Geo Wyex, Joël Andrianomearisoa en Narges Mohammadi, wiens werk verschillende opvattingen over verval raakt.

De opening vindt plaats op 25 mei om 18.30 uur, in onze Centrale Space. We hebben een eigen ingang, gelegen aan de Paulus Potterstraat 13, Amsterdam. De avond begint met een openingsperformance van Sedrig Verwoert, Alanna Archibald, Isha Forster aka Phantom Wizard en Ranie Ribeiro, die een aangepaste versie van The Ritual.

Hoe vind je ruimte in jezelf om te veranderen? En waar vind je de verbinding met de ruimte om je heen en met elkaar? In The Ritual onderzoekt Sedrig Verwoert identiteit als iets cultureels, lichamelijks en seksueels. Laat je meevoeren in dit spannende duet met Alanna Archibald samen met Phantom Wizard en Ranie Riberio.

Tijdens de opening en de afterparty in kanaal40 speelt 1.06 Music Library tunes op vinyl.
