Manifestation #15: Cosmism will present a selection of films by John Akomfrah, Saodat Ismailova, and Viktor Vasylenko. The program explores cosmic musical forms and the (philosophical) potential of space, science fiction, immortality, and infinity.  

Curators Rita Ouédraogo and Robbie Schweiger will provide an introduction at 19:30.  

We will present the following films:

  • Viktor Vasylenko, The Neverending Eye of Fripulya (Fedir Tetianych), 1994
  • John Akomfrah, The Last Angel of History, 1995

Manifestation #15: Cosmism provides a teaser for the exhibition “Cosmism: Images from a Future Gathering” opening in January 2024 at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. 

Frédérique Albert-Bordenave developed the spatial design that will accompany Manifestation #15.
