Naema Abdi
My practice as a researcher, curator, programmer and creative fundraiser is inherently interdisciplinary.
My interests as a researcher focus on long-term change; globally, locally and throughout history. I approach such themes through the lens of (micro) histories of resistance, power structures and art always in connection to the present and the future. Post/de-colonial studies, migration, climate justice and feminist studies are my main focus.
I always seek to experiment in my practice as a programmer, curator and creative fundraiser through understanding and intervening in current (institutional) structures, hoping to create space for different ways of being and doing.
