Inge Meijer
Inge Meijer finished her two-year residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2017 and participated in the Asia Culture Center – Rijksakademie Dialogue and Exchange program in Gwangju, South Korea in 2019. She was most recently a fellow supported by the Akademie van Kunsten at The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS).
Her book The Plant Collection (Roma Publications, 2019) was selected as The Best Dutch Book Designs in 2020. In collaboration with designer Roger Willems she is about to publish a new book, The MoMA Plant Collection (Roma Publications, 2024) on the forgotten plant life in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
In her practice she collaborates with ecologists, designers, musicians, writers and family members. Her projects have been exhibited in a variety of art spaces, including Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2023, 2020, 2019), Stedelijk Museum Schiedem (2022), Museum Dordrecht (2022), Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melborne, (2021), Museum Arnhem (2020, 2018, 2017, 2016), KF Global Center, Seoul (2021), Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam (2017, 2016), Museum Kranenburgh, Bergen (2017).
