Ilga Minjon
Ilga Minjon is a curator, researcher and educator based in Amsterdam, with a focus on ecology and digital cultures. In their work they aim to weave together and facilitate future imaginaries from liberatory, decolonial and feminist re-writings of belonging as well as practices that speculate on the body and networked relations. Ilga is a member of Stadscuratorium Amsterdam, the city-wide advisory commission for arts in public space. As a tutor at Design Academy Eindhoven, they teach Contextual Studies and design research. Ilga has worked as co-curator of programmes and international residencies at Impakt [Centre for Media Culture] (2011-2015); as curator of visual arts at Stroom Den Haag (2016-2024) and as a frequent collaborator for experimental arts events in Amsterdam Southeast. They’re part of a collective Reading Vigil for Palestine, a group who gathers on Dam square daily, to read and learn about Palestine in public space until a permanent ceasefire.
