Irina Djojoatmodjo
As a copywriter, translator, craftswoman and creative thinker, Irina Djojoatmodjo (1993) collaborates with designers, artists, and other professionals to create compelling and meaningful content. With a proficiency in multiple languages, Irina thrives where words meet the tactile and works at the intersection of language and art.
Born in Switzerland to an Indonesian father and a Swiss mother, she has been surrounded by multiple languages (Swiss-German, German, Indonesian, French) throughout her childhood. Growing up, Irina recognized language or even dialect as an integral part of shaping her sense of identity and beloning and uses this as a tool to navigate different communities and fields of expertise.
During her studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, she not only learned how to speak Dutch, but also became skilled in various textile techniques such as sewing, knitting and designing wearable items. The hands-on approach she developed during the years at the academy, she now applies in various collaborative projects.
Still based in Amsterdam, Irina is currently finishing a degree in translation (DE/EN) at the AKAD University in Stuttgart.
