Fanta Sylla
Fanta Sylla (b. 1992) is a Paris-based author. Her writing on cinema, music and contemporary art has appeared in The Village Voice, Flash Art, Les Inrocks, The Fader and Pitchfork, among other publications. She has contributed to the BFI book “Black Star” on the history and status of Black actors in the film industry. She has created the Black Film Critic Syllabus, an open-access and experimental database on film theories and Black film histories. She has created and taught the film course Cinema in Black at Pioneer Works in New York.
