Initiated by Simomo Bouj
MINA RWINA DIR is a unique iteration crafted specifically for Buro Stedelijk. After three years of collaboration with diverse venues and organizations, MINA RWINA has encountered challenges next to its many beautiful opportunities during its interactions with traditional venues and the public. While feeling a bit drained, this project has sparked a transformative journey for many participating artists. The friction of creating a space that encourages public engagement and adaptability in the Netherlands has proven to be challenging and enlightening.
Embracing a belief in finding connection through difference, Simomo Bouj has developed an upgraded secure version called MINA RWINA DIR. By tapping into their nurturing side, Simomo showcases a protective strategy without sacrificing the flexibility, right of opacity, and beauty that define this project.
“The question at hand is how can I engage with an entitled audience or venue without compromising our own values? And how do we create longevity?”
Approaching the next steps is much like a parent dealing with children who “don’t know better”. Simomo aims to protect their cherished values while letting go of certain controls. Just as parents learn to accept their children’s Unworldliness while safeguarding their beloved furniture. By using couche armour, Parents find a mental release, The fragileness can keep existing in this environment. Simomo’s desire is to continue participating in the art field without compromising.
So Let us just Plasticize this entire BISH!!
