Larissa Neslo

I am Larissa Neslo, a visual artist born in Curaçao and based in the Netherlands, working across installation, mixed media, textile-based work and participatory projects. My practice explores identity, memory, cultural heritage and the relationship between body, clothing and space.
Growing up between Curaçao and the Netherlands shaped my perspective of living between worlds—distance and closeness, belonging and displacement. These layered experiences continue to inform my work. I am interested in how clothing, textiles and everyday materials carry personal histories, social structures and emotional memory. Through installations, workshops and collaborative projects, I create spaces where visitors become active participants rather than passive spectators. I see art as a place for dialogue, transformation and shared experience, where identity is not fixed, but continuously made, worn and reimagined.
