#42 Tell It Like It Is

Kenneth Aidoo worked intensively in Buro Stedelijk’s Central Space and created an impressive work. He took the time and space of Manifestation #39: To Be Determined to develop a work inside the Central Space that evolved and expanded over the past weeks.

Aidoo being well aware of the temporality of the existence of the work, decided with curator Rita Ouedraogo to organize a farewell, a funeral so to say for the work he created. A celebration as well as a moment to mourn. An evening to collectively say goodbye.

Kenneth will open the evening with an Anansi tale as a sort of eulogy. We will then walk to the Central Space where we can say goodbye, dance, celebrate the work and, if you feel like it, paint it over as a way of saying goodbye. Together we will tell it like it is: temporal, beautiful, painful, immense and celebratory.
